Agrivencia
For Government
A delivery proposal built on government's own evidence about where farm support allocation fails.
Government's own auditors have found that it cannot see, in real time, where its farming budget is going. A flagship scheme closed overnight when its cap was reached. Hundreds of millions went unspent across three years because replacement schemes were not ready. Agrivencia is proposed as the integration and telemetry layer that closes those gaps, without repeating the failures of past national programmes.

About
For Government
Government's own auditors have found that it cannot see, in real time, where its farming budget is going. A flagship scheme closed overnight when its cap was reached. Hundreds of millions went unspent across three years because replacement schemes were not ready. Agrivencia is proposed as the integration and telemetry layer that closes those gaps, without repeating the failures of past national programmes.
The platform is designed around three convictions. First, that the work on a farm is already being done correctly and it is the recording of it that is duplicated. Second, that devolution is a design constraint rather than an inconvenience, so each nation is a first-class tenancy rather than an exception bolted onto an English system. Third, that a platform asking for farm data has to be legible before it can be trusted, which is why the evidence standards, the data charter and the commercial terms are all published in full.
None of that requires you to adopt everything at once. Most businesses start with the land record and the scheme engine, because those are the two that pay for themselves inside the first window, and add modules as the record earns its keep.
Why Agrivencia
What makes this different from another farm software package
Most farm software solves one problem well and leaves the rest to spreadsheets and portals. Agrivencia is built as one record with many views.
One record, many outputs
Enter a field operation once and it populates the agronomy record, the assurance audit pack, the scheme evidence file and the carbon footprint without being retyped.
Four nations, properly
England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland each run different schemes, portals, identifiers and language obligations. Each is a first-class tenancy, not an exception.
Rules as data
Scheme rules are stored as data, not code. When a rate changes or a window closes, the platform updates the same day rather than waiting for a release.
Offline first
Only around a fifth of farms report reliable signal across the whole holding. Field capture works without a connection and synchronises when one returns.
Evidence, graded
Every published figure is labelled by source tier, and conflicting estimates are shown as conflicts rather than quietly resolved in favour of the convenient one.
Your data, portable
The Farm Data Charter gives you a complete export in open formats at any time. Lock-in is a commercial strategy, not a technical necessity.
Working view
Your holding, at a glance
One panel across every module and every holding you farm, in every nation you farm it in.

Delivery
How Agrivencia is being built and proven
The programme follows the government digital service lifecycle, with an explicit gate at each stage and a documented decision to proceed, change direction or stop.
-
Discovery
Understand the users and the data estate
On-farm research across all four nations, a full audit of available data sources and their licensing, and a strategic outline case. Nothing is built until the problem is evidenced.
-
Alpha
Prototype the hardest things first
The identifier graph, the boundary record and the scheme engine — the three things everything else depends on — are prototyped and tested with real businesses before anything else is written.
-
Private beta
Prove it in one nation with invited users
A working service used by real farms through a real scheme window, with the failure modes exposed while the cohort is small enough to support properly.
-
Public beta
Open it up and extend across nations
Available to all, with the remaining nations phased in as each administration's scheme data stabilises, and full Welsh language provision from the point Wales goes live.
-
Live
Scaled service with published performance
Performance data published openly, a benefits realisation review against the original case, and continuous rather than project-based improvement.
Compared
Where Agrivencia differs from what already exists
The UK already has strong point tools. What it does not have is one record spanning them, or one view spanning four nations. That gap is the entire proposition.
| Agrivencia | Single-purpose farm software | Government portals | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Covers all four nations | Yes, each as a first-class tenancy | Usually one nation | One administration each |
| One record across domains | Yes — 84 modules, one data spine | Within its own domain only | Within its own scheme only |
| Scheme rules held as data | Yes, updated the day rules change | Rarely | Authoritative but not reusable |
| Assurance evidence auto-assembled | Yes, from operational records | Partially, per scheme | Not applicable |
| Whole-farm income optimisation | Across schemes and nature markets together | No | No |
| Offline field capture | Yes, designed first | Varies | Generally no |
| Marketplace and commerce | Multivendor with verification and escrow | Separate platforms | Not applicable |
| Farmer-owned data export | Published charter, open formats | Varies considerably | Limited |

How we handle evidence
Where these figures come from
Agrivencia grades every figure it publishes. Primary legislation, official statistics and audit reports are treated as authoritative. Levy body and professional body data is treated as reliable. Commercial trackers and trade press are treated as indicative and labelled as such. Where sources conflict, the conflict is shown rather than resolved silently.
- Authoritative Legislation, statutory instruments, official scheme rules, national audit and public accounts reporting, departmental annual reports and accredited official statistics.
- Reliable Parliamentary committee evidence, peer-reviewed research, independent economic institutes and levy body analysis.
- Supporting Professional bodies, land agents, certification schemes and industry associations.
- Indicative Commercial market trackers and trade press, used for corroboration only and always labelled.
Payment rates, caps and windows in UK farm support change frequently and sometimes without notice. Nothing on this platform is a substitute for the current published scheme rules or for professional advice.
Government cannot currently see, in real time, where its own farming budget is going. A scheme was closed overnight because the cap had been reached, and hundreds of millions of pounds went unspent over three years because replacement schemes were not ready. The evidence for change is government's own.
